Coventry Sports & Leisure Centre
All kids love Coventry Sports & Leisure Centre simply because there is so much to do there. There is an Olympic 50 meter pool for the advanced swimmer and a leisure splash pool for all to have fun and swim. The leisure splash pool also features a waterfall slide, whirlpool rapid ride, mushroom fountain and whizz slide. For all kids new to swimming there is a teaching pool for little ones or if your children prefer to have fun on dry land then Jungle Junction's children's play area is a great place to go in the Leisure Centre to have fun. And the fun doesn't stop there - why not challenge your family or friends to a spot of badminton, squash or table tennis in the surrounding courts? For a truly action-packed day out, Coventry Sports & Leisure Centre is the place for you.
Hatton Adventure World
Catering for everyone from babies to grownups, Hatton Adventure World in Warrwickshire will keep your family enthralled for hours. Over the spring and summer, the Tractor Safari takes visitors on informative rides around the farm, you can place your bets at the Hatton Grand National (sheep racing!) or watch breath-taking falconry demonstrations as stunning birds of prey take flight – you can even handle a hawk!
Twycross Zoo is now renowned as a World Primate Centre and has a wide variety of monkeys and apes including the UK’s only group of bonobos. We have breeding groups of many endangered primate species so we often have babies and toddlers playing around in our great ape groups, and in many of our monkey groups. We also hold a range of other species including Asian elephants, snow leopards, penguins, meerkats, tapir, hyena, and the world’s rarest big cat, the Amur leopard.
Stratford Butterfly Farm
In the Caterpillar Room some of the world's largest and most camouflaged caterpillars are on show with cocoons, giant silk moths and shining pupae hanging on the plants. See the amazing lifecycle of a butterfly within our Emerging Cage. Observe the fascinating and strange in Insect City, where Stick Insects, Beetles and many more remarkable creatures are to be found. In Arachnoland, the bolder can get close to the deadly and dangerous behind the safety of glass to some of the world's largest spiders, scorpions and other spinners of webs and dealers of death. After your visit take a look in the Papillon Gift Shop which offers a wide range of beautiful butterfly and nature inspired gifts for all ages.
